Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition is an act or instance of placing two opposing elements close together or side by side. ¹

Multiplication by juxtaposition means denoting the product of two elements by placing them directly next to each other:

$$A\cdot B=\underset{\text{Juxtaposition}}{\underbrace{AB}}$$
