Non-reductive Physicalism is the belief that we will not be able to reduce mental events to purely non-mental physical events.
Certain physical processes possess irreducible mental properties, meaning these properties cannot be broken down into anything more basic. Essentially, this position treats qualia as fundamental blocks of reality.
