Rigorous Two-Phase Locking (ACID)
Rigorous two-phase locking is a version of two-phasing locking where all locks are released after commit time, allowing transactions to be serialised in the order they commit and prohibiting cascading rollbacks.
However, rigorous 2PL comes at the cost of loss of potential concurrency, given that locks are released after commit time.
