Scope (Constraint Satisfaction)

A scope $S=(x_1,x_2,\dots ,x_r)\subseteq V$ is a ordered tuple to find an assignment $f:V^r\to D^r$ such that

$$((f(x_1)),f(x_2),\dots ,f(x_r))\in R,$$

where $R$ is the relation of the constraint $C=(S,R)$.
