Definition
TeX
TeX is a typesetting system developed Donald Knuth.
Algorithm
The algorithm of TeX was initially implemented in WEB, which can be found in the TeX-Live project on GitHub. Later, the WEB2C was created to translate WEB code to C code.

Scale Point
A scale point is the smallest unit of measurement used internally for typesetting, defined as of a point. Since a single point is of an inch, a scale point is approximately of an inch. The fine granularity allows TeX to represent dimensions with high precision, using fixed-point arithmetic to avoid rounding errors and ensure consistent results across systems.
