Unsymbolised Thinking

Unsymbolised thinking is an explicit thought that is directly experienced without words, images, or other symbols.

It is a conscious thought with specific content, but without inner speech or mental imagery.

Russell T. Hurlburt describes it as one of the common forms of pristine inner experience. 1
