t0–t6 ( RISC-V)

t0 through t6 are the RISC-V integer registers x5x7 and x28x31. They are temporary registers and have no preservation requirements across function calls.

Temporary registers are used to hold intermediate values during computation that do not need to survive across function calls. Since they are not preserved, a called function may freely overwrite them without saving and restoring their values, making them efficient for temporary use.
