CGRP Antagonist
A CGRP antagonist is an agent that blocks the action of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), either by inhibiting the peptide itself or by antagonising its receptor.
Small-molecule receptor antagonists are called gepants, whereas monoclonal antibodies target either the ligand or the receptor for preventive treatment.
