A gepant is a small-molecule CGRP receptor antagonist used for migraine treatment.
Gepants are mainly used for acute migraine attacks and do not cause vasoconstriction.
Usage
Gepants are useful when triptans are ineffective, poorly tolerated, or contraindicated.
