Meninges
The meninges are the three membranous layers that envelop the brain and spinal cord.
They consist of the outermost dura mater, the middle arachnoid mater, and the innermost pia mater. The meninges are densely innervated by trigeminal nerve terminals and are a principal source of migraine pain.
